Admissions
-
Completing this short form is an excellent first step to indicate your interest in joining our Lowcountry Prep Marlin community. Upon completion, you will receive an email form our Admission team with additional information and an invitation to visit campus and tour. Submit your inquiry now.
-
After receiving your inquiry, our Admissions team will reach out to set up a time for your family to come to campus for a personal tour. During this initial visit, you will see our students and teachers in action, meet with the Head of School to understand the culture and philosophy of the school, and spend time with the Dean of Teaching and Learning to learn more about curricular programming.
-
When you apply online, you’ll also submit an application fee of $100. The priority deadline is February 1st. Applications received after February 1st will be considered on a rolling basis and students admitted pending availability in their class year. Those students not admitted due to space considerations will be placed on a waitlist and will be offered admission, should a spot open.
-
It’s really important for your child to experience our school community on their own. We expect prospective Marlins will feel an instant connection and will feel welcomed and supported during the shadow day. Plus, visiting for a half-day or full-day allows prospective Marlins to meet students, teachers, staff and other community members, ensuring they’ll be able to be involved from their first day as a Marlin. After completing the application, the Admissions team will reach out to schedule your child’s shadow day experience.
-
When applicable, we will request transcripts from your child’s current school to review the coursework completed. This information helps our team develop a course plan with options for classes and extracurricular activities for each student. By learning where prospective Marlins have been in their academic journey, we’re able to customize the options for their path forward to graduation and beyond to ensure their success.
-
We want to understand how your student learns, and what your student is already interested in. One insightful way for us to learn about your child is by reviewing confidential teacher recommendations submitted directly to the Admission Office. If applicable, the Admissions Team at Lowcountry Prep may provide you with forms to be completed by a current or previous teacher.
-
The Admissions team will review the submitted application, transcripts/report cards, teacher recommendations (when requested) and summary from the shadow day visit to make a decision regarding enrollment. Parents/guardians will be notified as quickly as possible. Timing of notifications is dependent upon grade level.
-
Following acceptance, you will receive notification regarding your child's enrollment. An enrollment contract will be included as part of the package and will be completed online.
